Read more about AB1647
CATA Members, I am happy to report that we have activity again on the legislative front. Assembly Member Mary Hayashi has agreed to author the Sports Injury Prevention Act – AB1647.
The 2nd Annual Hit The Hill Day
Come join your fellow California Athletic Trainers for an exciting and historic day as we prepare to “Hit the Hill” in Sacramento on March 23, 2010. The goal is to increase support for AB 1646 and AB 1647 and all are welcome to be a part of the process. Assemblymember Mary Hayashi and the California Athletic Trainers’ Association have joined efforts to introduce these two important Assembly Bills which will help protect youth athletes as well as gain state recognition for the profession of athletic training.
Whether you are a seasoned veteran or have never been to Sacramento, we need your help to make this event a success. If you are able to join us, we will schedule appointments for you with your legislator. The day will start at 7:30 am with an educational session on our bills and the lobbying process. Continental breakfast will be provided.
